Complementary Healthcare for Businesses
Jean Branch (LCHE MARH ITEC)
Having over 17 years’ experience working in high stress environments in the music and radio industries, I know from personal experience how stress and anxiety can lead to poor health.
Work-related stress accounts for over a third of all new incidences of ill health.*
A total of 12.8 million working days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2004/5.* (*Source: Health and Safety Executive)
I am aware how the demands of a successful business can affect the potential of employees to perform at their best. The need to attract and retain a dynamic workforce has lead many organisations to incorporate new and beneficial incentives and opportunities into the working environment. Offering such health therapies would compliment any staff incentive package and underline the employer’s commitment to the well-being of their people.
Jean Branch – a Homeopath and Nutritional Advisor – practises at a Complementary Healthcare Centre and her own clinic.
I specialise in creating tailor-made on-site packages to suit your business.
Most clients come for 1 or 2 reasons, either they feel okay and just want to check they are doing the right things with their diet, or they know they are doing the wrong things and need advice on how to turn things around.
The nutritional consultation covers the lifestyle of the client and any symptoms they may have. Many clients are unaware that their symptoms are nutritionally linked, but often they are. An analysis of a week’s food diary and an overview of vitamin and mineral potential deficiencies completes the session.
Some people seek nutritional advice to lose weight, this is a good way to do it, but I must stress that this type of advice is about changing eating habits for good – it is not a yo-yo dieting tool. Weight loss this way is weight loss for good. Clients will feel better and look better.
Homeopathy is a holistic form of medicine, meaning that it treats the whole person. A homeopath does not look at your ailment in isolation, but will investigate how it affects the whole person. The intention is to get rid of symptoms and ensure they do not recur. Most people experience improved health and a greater sense of well being.
Homeopathy works for many conditions, including:
Arthritis, joint problems, pain management, ADD/ADHD, colds, coughs and throat problems, depression, mood swings and anxieties, digestive upsets and disorders, ear-ache, eczema, dermatitis, hay fever and asthma, headache, migraines, infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pre-menstrual stress and menstrual problems, chronic fatigue syndrome, post operative recovery, sleep problems, sports and exercise injuries, or feeling ‘not quite right’
Homeopathy is often used as a means to boost the immune system, and some clients like to return on a six monthly to keep ‘investing in their health’.
